Volunteering at the shelter

All volunteers must attend a brief orientation at Alvin Police Headquarters before voluneering at the shelter. The orientation sessions are scheduled through out the year on Saturdays or weekday evenings.

1. Go to Alvin Police Headquarters at 1500 South Gordon Street and ask for a volunteer application for Alvin Animal Control.

2. Complete the 1 page application and submit it at headquarters.

3. An Animal Control Officer will contact you to let you know when the next
orientation session is scheduled.

4. After you attend orientation you may volunteer for Alvin Animal Control.

 

Fostering Animals

Fostering animals for Alvin AC is facilitated by the Animal ACTION Team. The ACTION Team provides spay/neuter, vaccinations and veterinary care for animals that are fostered. Foster animals find forever homes through our adoptions partners in New England.

1. Submit an online Foster Application.

2. Submit an online Foster Contract.

3. You will be contacted by the foster coordinator.
